Corridor KeeperTM Program

In a comprehensive effort to improve the aesthetic character and business climate of Eight Mile Road, the 8MBA teamed up with representatives from 13 communities and 3 county governments to establish the Corridor Keeper™ Program.

This unique multi-jurisdictional program has 3 primary objectives:

1. PROVIDE EDUCATION ON PROPERTY MAINTENANCE ISSUES
The Corridor Keeper™ Program consists of periodic evaluations of code compliance challenges and works with Eight Mile property owners/operators to educate and link them with resources to remedy. To view the complete list of Common Code Compliance Challenges as evaluated by the 8MBA and local municipalities, click //HERE.

2. PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO PROPERTY OWNERS
The Corridor Keeper™ Program provides property maintenance assistance to local business owners and residents. This may include assistance with lawn care, peeling paint, trash pick up and other property issues that can detract from the aesthetic character of Eight Mile Road.

3. PROVIDE CODE ENFORCEMENT INTERVENTIONS

Working with municipal code enforcement departments and code enforcement officers, the Corridor Keeper™ Program alerts businesses of existing violations and provides advice to address these challenges.
